On February 20, 2013, Sony announced that an event known as PlayStation Meeting 2013 would be held in New York City, U.S., to cover the "future of PlayStation". Sony officially announced the PlayStation 4 at the event. They revealed details about the console's hardware and discussed some of the new features it will introduce. The Playstation One was first sold in Japan in 1991.
The Xbox One is a another home video game console developed by Microsoft. It was announced in May, 2013, to be the successor to the Xbox 360 and the third console in the Xbox family. It was sold in North America, some countries in Europe, Australia, and Brazil in November 2013, and in Japan, China, and other European countries in September 2014. It competes with Sony's PS4 and Nintendo's Wii U. November 15, 2001 in North America, February 22, 2002 in Japan, and March 14, 2002 in Australia and Europe. The console was publicly revealed under the name Xbox One on May 21, 2013 in a press conference designed to cover the unit's broad multimedia and social capabilities. A second press event for the console was held during E3(Electronic Entertainment Expo) in 2013. The press event focused on its video game-oriented functionality.
